then released

the breath keeps me here

stop and i will forget.

i must remind

to feel happy for you

cracks in my heart

Gates

Walk in the gates

I walk in the gates to elementary school

Every one chatting

Squeezing through kids to get to class,

Hearing nothing.

Some one breaks the silence.

I hear him loud and clear.

The words don’t do much for I don’t hear them,

They fall as they reach my ear.

I walk closer to my class.

Step,

            Step,

                        Step.

Walk over to my friends

I hear what there talking about.

The word goes straight through me

I wish the side walk would pull me down

I don’t want to hear what there saying

No one understands why I start crying

Everyone is smiling

Me unnoticed

Stop,

I hardly get through school that day.
